Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly can I customize?
When you place your order for a new table and/or benches, there are a few options in addition to those you will select from the drop down choices that we will want to clarify with you. Please feel free to include any and all requests in the comments section when you place your order. If we have any questions about exactly what you want we will call or email you. Here are some of your choices:
- Smooth or planked top: We can make any of our tables and benches with either a perfectly flat and smooth top or a top with a noticeable groove where the planks come together.
- Breadboard ends: These boards at each end of our rectangular tables run perpendicular to the table top planks. They provide a very traditional look and are available only with a planked top.
- Patio umbrella hole: Just let us know you need this and we'll get in in there.
Do you offer stain and paint colors other than those listed on your site?
Absolutely! If you have a particular paint or stain color that you want to use for your new furniture, just contact us and give us the specific brand, color name, or product number and we'll let you know if we can do it and whether or not it will affect the price. Our goal is to make your furniture fit your space perfectly. Please don't hesitate to let us know how to do that.
How will my furniture be delivered?
If you are in or around the Austin area, we will bring your new furniture to you and assemble if needed. If we are shipping your furniture to you, the freight company will provide curbside service. We ask that you be there and ready to inspect your furniture upon delivery so you can note any defects or damage caused by shipping. With freight shipping, you will be responsible for moving the furniture from the curb into its new home and assembling it. Assembly, when required, will be simple and there will be instructions provided.
Can I decide where the donation table goes when I purchase a Gathering Table?
We invite you to take a look at our Outreach Partner page. If you are so inclined, please feel free to make a request for a donation to be made to a specific partner. We can't promise that we will be able to fulfill that request, but we will when possible.
